From the moment I stepped foot onto this glorious property, I just knew it was going to be the “next big thing” in Gold Coast events for years to come.
With a rich history spanning from the Cobb & Co days, Rivermead is a sprawling Hinterland oasis set on 55 stunning aces. In the mid-late 1900’s, polo fields were established at the property, and it became a hub even then for social functions and friendly cricket games.
Steeped in history, there is something special about Rivermead that you sense as soon as you drive through the majestic iron gates, up the long driveway, to the incredible homestead.
The plantation-style home is breath taking, and features six bedrooms, 4 with ensuites, billiard room, gym, spa room, wine cellar, media room, swimming pool, tepannyaki bar, lavish living areas and a sweeping wrap-around balcony. Every detail has been crafted to the highest standard of perfection, and it is considered to be in the Golden Circle for film locations and A list retreats.
Although it’s only 25 minutes from the Gold Coast hub, you will feel like you have travelled to another world, surrounded by an intoxicating landscape of rolling hills and manicured gardens and flowing lake.
You can imagine how excited I was to be hand-picked to design the styling for the launch of this unbelievable property.
Event Society are experts in our field for luxurious offsite events, having crafted hundreds from conceptual stage to creation, over nearly 10 years of business operation, and we I loved designing every detail of this lavish launch.
We always look for ways to elevate ordinary moments for guests, to bring their focus to the beauty of now. One of our favourite pieces from this event was the glorious golden gate entrance, embellished with structured florals in an unexpected colour scheme of shades of blue, pinks and red. Guests couldn’t help but stop to take a moment as they entered to admire the beauty.
We are constantly inspired by contemporary design, and event trends from around the world, and chose sophisticated furnishings in marble and gold, and soft blue velvet lounges for guests to recline in.
Among an A-list of guests was the honourable Mayor Tom Tate who graciously opened the event, alongside Assistant Minster for Tourism Meaghan Scanlon. Australian musical royalty Darryl Braithwaite also performed before an exhibition Polo Match.
With the announcement of stage two and three incorporating an indoor equestrian centre, Aristans Village, 150 seat paddock to plate restaurant, accommodation pods and equine retail facility, Rivermead is expanding to be an unrivalled and unique multi-purpose Gold Coast event venue.
We are the artisans and Rivermead is our wonderland.
We are the experience makers, facilitating connection between people and moments in time, that will live in their memories forever, and we are so excited to create beauty on this property for many years to come.
